How to Add Emoji and Symbols into a PowerPoint Presentation

A presentation can be made for various purposes, such as office, business, or school, and the idea for creating it depends on the users and requirements. You may want to add images, video clips, audio files, or symbols to your presentation’s slides. Microsoft PowerPoint allows you to do everything that makes your presentation attractive, as well as effective. Adding emojis and symbols into your presentation is not so tricky, you can use keyboard shortcuts or Emoji and Symbols menu to do so. Here is how to add emoji and Symbols into a PowerPoint presentation.

Adding emoji into a presentation with Microsoft PowerPoint

In newer versions of Microsoft Powerpoint, you can add emoji keyboards to insert colorful smileys and symbols to your documents. Users have to visit Microsoft Store to install this addon for their PowerPoint.

Note: No need to worry, if you don’t have a newer version of PowerPoint or do no want to install the add-on, there is also a traditional method for adding emoji into the PowerPoint slides. Select ‘Symbols’ from the Insert tab to insert emoji and symbols to your slide without Emoji Keyboard.

Steps to add Emoji Keyboard to your PowerPoint application

1.   Double click on the presentation in which you want to add emoji. You can also open the file directly from the PowerPoint application. If the slides are already open, then ignore this step.

2.   Now, click on the ‘Insert’ tab.

3.   Then click on ‘Get Add-ins’ under the Add-ins group box. This will open the Office Add-ins window on the screen.

4.   Click on the search box under the Office Add-ins window.

5.   And type ‘Emoji Keyboard’ and press ‘Enter.’

6.   Click on the ‘Add’ button of the Emoji Keyboard.

7.   Now, the Emoji Keyboard has been added to your application. You can find and use it from the ‘Insert’ tab.

8.   Click on ‘Emoji Keyboard’ under the Insert tab. This will open a menu at the right side of your desktop with countless emojis.

9.   Scroll through the emojis or use Search Emoji box to find the smiley you want to use.

10. When you get the smiley you want to use in your presentation, change the size, type or skin tone of the emoji from the bottom menu of the Emoji Keyboard pane.

11. When you’re ready to use the emoji, click the ‘Smiley’ you want to add to your presentation.

Your selected emoji will now appear in your slide as you’ve customized it. This way, you can add emoji to presentation whenever you want.
